I've noticed recently that the artists who draw comics or write stories tend to love their characters more than artists who don't. (I'm not saying that those who don't don't love their characters; they just don't draw them as much.)

Like my friend ~Tiuni for instance, she draws her characters like ALL THE TIME. (because they are freaking awesome.) I never draw mine, but whenever I do I'm just thinking "gaaah, I suck so bad at designing characters that are actually somewhat realistic." or "why is she wearing this costume-y thing? I suuuuuck." (okay, I sound super emo, lol.)

I am resolving to draw my own characters and original art more, and try to give my own characters some love. (:
